Who are we ?
Ana Kanellos Furlong is dual qualified both as a French avocat registered with the Lille bar and a UK solicitor-advocate with full higher courts rights of audience based in London. Having graduated from the university Robert Schuman in Strasbourg, she has been a member of the Lille bar since 1998 and a sole practitioner solicitor-advocate since 2001.
Ana Kanellos Furlong provides advisory and representation services to private clients, economic actors and international companies located throughout the UK, the European Union, Central Africa & the Middle East.
A multilingual profile and her experience in international affairs have enabled her to navigate litigation on an international scale with a focus on civil fraud and asset recovery litigation, taking civil actions in high profile and complex cases involving cross-border freezing orders & asset tracing issues.
She has distinguished herself in high profile cases defending individuals facing extradition proceedings and has been asked to advise foreign governments and heads of international organisations on a variety of international public law matters including state and diplomatic immunity, the law of treaties and treaty interpretation, extraterritorial criminal jurisdiction, jus cogens and human rights related cases.
She has a first-class reputation built by word of mouth rather than social media and clients generally come from referrals by those in the know.
